Bilawal says no official would be allowed to rob PPP of victory in elections

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that the days are gone when election results were stolen and this time around no returning officer would be allowed to rob PPP of victory.

The PPP chairman expressed these views while addressing the meeting of party office bearers and ticket holders from Rawalpindi division with regards to the 50th founding day of the party.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that PPP has a glowing history and its leadership and workers have proved to be the bravest and dedicated. He added that PPP leaders and workers never feared prison, lashes and hangings.

He further said that the cowards cannot face PPP workers who have gone through bomb blasts and suicide attacks, adding that workers are the heirs of the philosophy and mission of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.

Bilawal Bhutto also said that President Asif Ali Zardari during his tenure restored 1973 Constitution in its original form, thus fulfilling the mission of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto. He added that important work has to be done for the people of Pakistan which includes making the poor prosper, eradicating ignorance and eliminating terrorism.

“PPP is striving for a society where women are respected thus making Pakistan a country according to the vision of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto,” he said.

On the occasion, the participants gave their proposals to celebrate the founding day. The meeting was attended by former prime minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, Syed Nayyar Hussain Bukhari, Senator Farhatullah Babar, Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar, Raja Khurram Pervaiz, Sardar Saleem Haider, Ibrar Rizvi, Malik Hakmeen Khan and others.
