LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif said on Tuesday that the previous government was responsible for the current load shedding issue as they looted the finite resources of the country while filling their own pockets.
The CM also said that the energy crisis would have been resolved long ago, had the previous rulers paid any heed to the urgency of the matter.
Shehbaz further stated that the 1320 megawatt Sahiwal Coal Power Plant had been completed in a record period of twenty-two months.
While criticising political opponents, he said those who were playing with the country’s future did not want to see it prosper, he added.
Shehbaz also claimed that the PML-N would win again in the next general elections.
