LAHORE: Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah on Tuesday came down hard on political opponents, stating that state institutions do not require services of parties’ spokespersons.

The provincial minister stated this while talking to media in Lahore.

He claimed that Imran Khan, Tahirul Qadri and Sheikh Rasheed have become self-proclaimed spokespersons for state institutions, warning that they should refrain from doing so. He also dispelled all rumours of differences within the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), asserting that the party stands united under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif.

Rana Sanaullah also said that there is no room for turncoats and forward blockers in the PML-N

“We [PML-N] would emerge triumphant in 2018 polls as voters have become more aware of politics,” he claimed and added that Nawaz Sharif would accelerate political activities across the country.

He said that media has made people conscious today, and it will become difficult now for anyone to live in his constituency who leaves the party in hard times.

He also said that the opponents wanted to establish their place in politics through abuses and mud-slinging but even as allegations were levelled against Nawaz Sharif, he received respect in return.

He also said that Kulsoom Nawaz – spouse of former PM Nawaz Sharif – is fighting with a fatal disease like cancer.  “We pray to Almighty Allah for her early recovery and return to Pakistan,” he added.
