LAHORE: In a statement made on Tuesday during a meeting with party ticket-holders in Sargodha, Asif Zardari, co-chairman Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), announced to fully compete in Punjab in the next elections and asked the party workers to make necessary preparations.
He said that the PPP will not only form government in the centre but also in Punjab, adding that the last election was not a measure of the popularity of political parties but their ability to rig them.
The former president said that the political landscape in Punjab is about change. “Some noted individuals have been in contact with us and soon some major announcements will be made,” he added.
PPP, please don’t destroy Punjab ! They don’t need you !
