Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah on Monday said the caretakers of the shrine of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar in Sehwan Sharif must have banned Imran Khan’s entry for being ‘immoral.

On Sunday, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan was stopped from entering the shrine of saint along with other PTI leaders, including Shah Mehmood Qureshi, following a PTI gathering in Sehwan.  However, they were later allowed entry.

The caretakers at the shrine must have heard the statements of Ayesha Gulalai and thought “this [Imran Khan] sinner would desecrate the sanctity of the shrine” if allowed entry, the law minister said.

Earlier, Ayesha Gulalai, a disgruntled PTI MNA, had accused the PTI chairman and his ‘gang’ of harassing the female workers within the party, besides sending them vulgar text messages.

Taking a jibe at the PTI chief, Rana Sanaullah said the Punjab government had never banned Imran from entering the Data Darbar, shrine of Ali Hajveri Data Gunj Baksh in Lahore, which is a good chance for the PTI chief to reduce his sins.
