Former Corps commander urges students to work for country’s prosperity

LAHORE: Former Corps Commander Lt. Gen (retd) Ghulam Mustafa has urged the students to accord top priority to the country and fulfill their obligations by offering their unconditional services for the cause of promotion of brotherhood in every sphere of life.

He stated this while speaking as chief guest at a seminar called “Pakistaniat” organised by the Institute of Communication Studies, Punjab University here on Monday.

Ghulam Mustafa said that its high time for the educated youth to come forward and play their positive role for the cause of Pakistaniat. He stressed the urgent need for practicing the motto of the father of the nation, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah which is “Unity, Faith, Discipline”, to make the country a citadel of Islam and welfare oriented state among the entire Muslim Ummah.

The former Corps commander said that the nation has pinned high hopes on the educated youth to help forge unity among the people from all walks of life and contribute towards nation building in all sectors. He said that students should now exercise their sphere of influence in the society to create awareness among the masses about the conspiracies of Pakistan’s enemies.
