Senator Dhamrah tells Imran Khan to focus on KP instead of criticising PPP

BADIN: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan instead of criticising Sindh government and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leadership should concentrate on Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) where corruption is rampant and people are dying of dengue fever due to lack of the facilities.

These views were expressed by PPP Senator Aajiz Dhamrah, who is also serving as PPP Sindh chapter information secretary, while addressing a news conference at Jamali House in Tando Bago town on Sunday.

Senator Dhamrah said that both PTI and those in Sindh Grand Alliance were posing no threat to PPP in the province because according to him both were making desperate attempts with the oft-seen unreliable politicians. He asked PTI chief to make a new PTI before dreaming to make a new Pakistan because according to him, Imran Khan was surrounded by those who were involved in the scams of the billions

He said that he hoped that PTI chief would be disqualified after failing to produce his money trail in the courts like the former prime minister Nawaz Sharif.  He added that Imran Khan, instead of taking action against the leaders involved in the corruption, expelled the founding leaders of the party who had pinpointed the corrupt elements in KP government.

He alleged that PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi was in a habit to visit Thar and Umerkot districts after every six months to collect donations from his followers by showing them his face. “The message of PPP has already put an end to politics of pirs so Shah Mehmood will not be able to dupe people using his status as a pir,” he said and added that KP government had miserably failed even in saving the lives of its people from dengue by not providing them with the quality healthcare facilities.

He also said that Imran Khan, by indulging in the politics of dirty language and false accusations, had changed the dimensions of the politics of the country. He rejected the claims of PTI leadership that they were not allowed to hold the public gathering at Sehwan, adding that he had asked them to choose an alternate venue due to the security reasons near the shrine of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar.

Senator Dhamrah also said that PML-N was facing the threat of disintegration and hoped that Nawaz Sharif and his cronies, who had looted the public wealth, would be sent to jails if true justice prevails. Replying to a question on the former Sindh home minister Dr Zulfikar Ali Mirza, he said that Mirza family had lost the morale to continue with the party after Dr Mirza openly revolted and abused the party leadership.

He observed that those sitting in the grand alliance were only ‘daydreaming’ to sneak into the power through the undemocratic ways, adding that there was no need of a technocrat government in the country.

The PPP leader also said that the process of the formation of the party bodies at taluka and union council levels had been completed and PPP leadership would announce the bodies in the whole province. Khan Sahib Jamali, Hakim Ali, Akash Santorai and other PPP leaders were also present on the occasion.
