ISLAMABAD: All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) has completed its intra-party elections, and party Chairman General (retd) Pervez Musharraf has directed the newly elected office bearers and members of the central executive committee (CEC) for a meeting to be held in Dubai.
Besides administering the oath to the newly elected members, party chairman will discuss the current political situation of the country and future directions in the context of 2018 general elections.
The elected office bearers and members of CEC led by APML secretary general Dr Muhammad Amjad will travel to Dubai on Tuesday.
APML Joint Secretary Information (JSI) Shehzad Arabi Satti, in a statement issued for media, said that the party has completed its intra-party elections on all levels, including central, provincial and overseas chapters.
In a three-day meeting with the members, General (retd) Musharraf will discuss in detail regarding future strategies in formulating party policies, and how the party could effectively campaign for the next general elections, Satti said.
Musharraf will take suggestions from the party workers in this regard, he added.
