Subsequently, a large number of locals took to protest against the arrest of the lawmaker’s brother outside the Civil Lines Police Station
As per police a report, a case has been lodged against the accused who are suspects in a number of other cases relating to theft of government-owned timber.
It is not just Jamshed Dasti’s brother, looting state assets has become favourite national sport in Pakistan. From prime minister to politicians, from head of police to cop on the beat, from top bureaucrat to ordinary clerk, from rich man to the poor man on the street, all are at it according to their capability and capacity to steal. Ethics and morals have no place place in country’s mindset and culture. It is a nation that believes in might is right, free for all by all means fair and foul, no checks and no red lines to get what one wants by hook or crook.
