FAISALABAD: A couple was attack by a knife by unknown assailants Saturday night in Chak Jhumra area.
Two unidentified assailants attempted to stab a man and his wife near Sitara Chowk in the city’s Chak Jhumra area late Saturday night.
However, the man remained safe during the attack while the woman received injuries on her hand. She was later transferred to Tehsil hospital nearby for medical treatment, police sources revealed.
As per police reports, an investigation has been launched into the attack.
People are already concerned over attacks by anti social elements particularly in Karachi injuring over a dozen women. Unidentified attackers have been subjecting women in numerous major cities including Karachi, Lahore, and Gujranwala, among others to knife-related assaults since September 25, causing a nationwide panic.
