Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Najam Sethi has responded to the latest spot-fixing scare related to the national cricket team, saying that the matter was being handled according to standard procedure.
In a tweet sent out today (Saturday), the PCB Chairman said that, yes, a player had indeed been approached by a spot-fixer and had offered him a chance to join in. However, the player refused and immediately reported the incident to the Pakistan Cricket Board and the team management.
A player was approached. As per rules he immediately reported to PCB who informed ICC. Matters are jointly in hand. No further comment.

According to initial reports, the player in question is Captain Sarfraz Ahmed but this is yet to be confirmed.
