ISLAMABAD: Rescue authorities recovered the body of a miner after an accident at a coal mine in Balochistan’s Harnai District on Friday.
One miner has also been rescued alive while five of his colleagues remain trapped inside. Chief Inspector Mines Iftikhar Ahmed said a landslide occurred at two spots at Sharig Coal Mine in Harnai
Two miners were trapped inside as a result, after which six of their colleagues went in to rescue them but got trapped themselves. Ahmed added that a rescue operation is underway to recover the six miners still trapped inside the mine.
