National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Justice (retd) Chairman Javed Iqbal has rebuked Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif for his comments about corruptions in the organisation.
He said that NAB is there to root out corruption and added that no officer was above the law. He further said that there is a zero tolerance policy towards corrupt officers and officials. About the promotions within the organisation, he said that no one will be treated unfairly and all promotions are based on seniority, performance and merit.

Earlier, after the indictment of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, his daughter Maryam Nawaz and son-in-law Captain (retd) Safdar on Thursday, Shehbaz had said that NAB was a corrupt institute, which he said was being used for political reasons.
