Dissident PTI leader Ayesha Gulalai on Friday announced that she would start a campaign against sexual harassment of women.
Speaking to a private media outlet, Gulalai said that she was proud of the fact that she had raised the issue of harassment of Pakistan Women’s Hockey team. “Men who are found guilty in such incidents must be punished severely,” she added.
Gulalai spoke about how her little sister Maria, who is a squash player, also had to face harassment at different levels, but she remained steadfast and did not back down.
“Decent men of character or even retired judges should be appointed to a committee that should hand out strict punishments to those who harass women,” she added.
