MUZAFFARGARH: A woman, hailing from the Indian Held Kashmir (IHK), who arrived in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) to attend the funeral of a relative also died of cardiac arrest.

According to details, Saleema Bibi along with her husband Ghulam Hassan Pandat had come to Muzaffarabad through Chakothi sector to attend the funeral of her brother in-law Khawaja Muhammad Yousaf Zargar.

The couple were to return to Sopore on October 16, but had to wait as trade activities and traffic was suspended in the region due to Diwali celebrations on the other side of the Line of Control (LoC).

The woman suffered a heart attack the other day and was rushed to Sheikh Zayed Bin Al Nahyan Hospital Muzaffarabad, where she breathed her last.

It is important to mention here that it usually took two days for legal procedure to be completed in order to move a dead body from AJK to IHK, but the civilians and armed forces deployed on either side of the LoC, while taking it as a special case, made the arrangements at the earliest. Later, the deceased was transported to her ancestral village within 12 hours.
