HARIPUR: Police on Friday recovered 100 kilogrammes of explosive material, 400 detonators and 1,600 metres of copper wire from the hidden compartments of a suspicious car.
Per details, Police arrested one person and shifted him to an undisclosed location for investigation.
On a tip-off received earlier, city police stopped a car No. NB-5559 near Shah Maqsood area. During search of the car, the police recovered 100 kilogrmmes explosive material, 400 detonators and 1,600 metres of wire from hidden cavities inside the car.
Sources said that the accuse was on his way from Rawalpindi to Galyat via Haripur. The explosive material and other items were usually used in the area to mine mountains, but the accused had no legal document to prove his innocence.
The accuse would be dealt in accordance with the law under section EXP/ACT/3/4.
