KARACHI: A police official was reportedly killed during an encounter at a drug dealer’s hideout in Malir 15 area of the metropolis. According to SSP Korangi Noman Siddiqui, police rounded up drug dealer Shahzad from his hideout.
However, in an exchange of fire between police officials and Shahzad’s accomplices, police officer Bilal was killed.
In subsequent police raids in the area, the suspects’ accomplices and relatives were taken into custody. Further investigations are ongoing.
