KARACHI: An alleged robber was injured in a police encounter in Landhi area of the city on Friday.
According to rescue sources, a patrolling police team signaled a gang of robbers in Landhi area to stop but the robbers opened fire on the team which retaliated.
During the exchange of fire, one accused sustained bullet injuries, while his accomplices managed to flee. Police arrested him in injured condition and shifted him to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) for treatment.
The police also recovered a TT pistol, bullets and mobile phones from his possession.
