ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarian (PPPP) President Asif Ali Zardari has greeted the Hindu community on the occasion of Diwali and urged for interfaith harmony for peace in the region and country.
In a facilitation message on Wednesday, Zardari said, “I wish to extend on my behalf and on behalf of the PPP heartiest greetings to the Hindus on the occasion of Diwali.”
He said that on this occasion we also reiterate our commitment to fight religious apartheid and promotion of the interfaith harmony.
Zardari further said the PPP respects and upholds the UN Resolution calling for interfaith harmony. It reaffirms its commitment to safeguard the rights of all minorities in accordance with the teachings of Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah and PPP founder Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.
