Returning officer (RO) for NA-4, Peshawar-IV, bye-elections issued notice to Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Senator Siraj-ul-Haq for his proposed public meeting in the constituency and held it as violation of the code of conduct.
The RO, in the notice issued here on Tuesday, stated that Jameel Chowk was situated within the territorial limits of National Assembly Constituency NA-4 Peshawar-IV. Therefore, the attendance and address of this public gathering by Senator Sirajul Haq would be a violation of the code of conduct.
The RO directed that Senator Siraj should restrain from attending this public meeting.
