PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) dismissed the writ of the Peshawar Development Authority (PDA) Director General against National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
The PDA DG Saleem Wattoo has appealed the court to stop NAB proceeding against him. High Court’s Justice Waqar Seth heard the writ.
NAB is investigating PDA DG regarding allegations of misappropriation of funds, worth millions of rupees.
According to NAB officials, PDA DG has indulged in millions of rupees of corruption in different projects including Regi Model Town.
Besides this, Wattoo has also been accused of misuse of authority and illegal recruitment.
In this connection, a NAB investigation is underway against PDA DG on a complaint lodged by Hayatabad Residents Society.
