ISLAMABAD: National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq reached out to Hindu parliamentarians and the Hindu community on their religious festival of Diwali.
The speaker expressed his felicitations to the Hindu community on the occasion and said that Diwali was a festival which promoted peace, affection and humanity in society. He also recognised the Hindu community’s contributions to the prosperity and development of the country. The speaker said that Pakistan was a pluralistic country that celebrated cultural diversity with zest and zeal.
Deputy Speaker Murtaza Javed Abbasi also conveyed his sincere and warm greetings to the Hindu members of the National Assembly. He also appreciated their contributions to national development and to national cohesion.
