Hamza Shehbaz says conflict among institutions will ‘badly’ affect country

LAHORE: MNA Hamza Shehbaz on Tuesday warned that political conflict among Muslim institutions will badly hurt Pakistan, saying politics is not the name of levelling accusations, but to serve the nation.

While addressing a ceremony in Lahore’s Aiwan-e-Iqbal, Hamza Shehbaz lashed out at his opponents saying that those terming Metro Bus as “Jangla Bus” have not been able to build a similar facility in Peshawar. “Those hurling taunts of ‘Jangla Bus’ will now witness the construction of Orange Line Train,” he said.

Commenting on the ‘crisis’ faced by Sharif family, the MNA reminded that he faced jail-term at the age of 17 years, and waited outside NAB for nearly six hours. Hamza notified that he was not allowed to meet his father when he was detected with cancer in the US.

The PML-N leader claimed that the government has gained success in controlling the menace of load shedding.

Hamza Shehbaz was the chief guest at a prize distribution ceremony organised by the Higher Education Department Punjab for position holders of Punjab CM Naat-Qiraat competition.

Overall, Rs22 crore were distributed among students at the district, division and provincial level for the competitions.

Minister for Higher Education Punjab Syed Raza Ali Gilani, Provincial Minister Mansha Ullah Butt and other key figures were also present on the occasion.

Hamza Shehbaz, in his address, said that “the love and respect for Holy Prophet (SAWW) is the basis of our faith and religion.” He congratulated the Higher Education Department for engaging students in such a positive activity.

Meanwhile, Minister for Higher Education Punjab Syed Raza Ali Gilani said that these competitions were helping promote positive co-curricular activities among students.
