Fog disrupts early morning PIA flights in Karachi

KARACHI: Fog disrupted early morning domestic flight operations for Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) on Tuesday, eventually causing multiple flights to be delayed.

Early flights to Islamabad, Lahore, Rahim Yar Khan, Multan were delayed, according to details.

PIA flight PK-300 en route to Islamabad was the first flight to be delayed. Governor Sindh Muhammed Zubair was one of the passengers on the said flight.

According to PIA’s spokesperson, the flight was first delayed due to fog and later because of four passengers had to be offloaded as they were not feeling well.

The flight which was due to take off at 7:00 AM, finally departed after a delay of around three hours.

Early morning domestic flights operated by private airlines also faced delays due to the foggy conditions in the metropolitan.
