Federal govt releases Rs 176 bn for ongoing, new schemes under PSDP

ISLAMABAD: The federal government has released over Rs 176 billion under its Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) for various ongoing projects and new schemes.

According to data released by the Ministry of Planning, Development and Reform, the earmarked funds included approximately Rs 42 billion for federal ministries and more than Rs 19 billion for special areas.

The government also released Rs 8.28 billion for Water and Power Division, whereas, an amount of Rs 6.5 billion had been set aside for various development projects undertaken by the Higher Education Commission. In addition, a sum of Rs 1.7 billion had been released for National Health Services, while Rs 114.6 million had been earmarked for the Pakistan Nuclear Regulatory Authority.
