KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader and Sindh Assembly Deputy Speaker Shehla Raza has said that the socio-economic structures stand destroyed in the country wherein dictatorship has ruled for most of the time.
She said this on a morning show by a private TV channel here on Tuesday while replying to a question on differences between Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and PPP.
Talking about the insecurity of women in Karachi, she said that there was an atmosphere of fear in the city due to knife-attacks, adding that the knife attacks were not carried out by an organised group.
“No country in the world is 100 per cent secure,” she said.
Shehla further stated, “It is a lapse on our part that PPP cannot carry out a good propaganda. Neither it can browbeat the media nor can it fill their pockets.”
Responding to a question about Imran Khan’s criticism against Asif Ali Zardari, she said that someone has not imparted political training to Imran Khan in a proper way, therefore, his way of talking is not good and appropriate, adding that he has himself accepted that his government has failed to deliver in KP.
