ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry on Tuesday stressed the need for formulating a framework to help the special persons in the country, particularly visually impaired persons.
He said this while addressing a ceremony in connection with International White Cane Safety Day. On the occasion, the minister said that special people should be treated with courtesy and respect by fellow citizens, while adding that showing empathy to this marginalised segment would develop positive behavourial trends among them.
He informed that the CADD had opened a new centre for visually impaired children at H-9 sector of the federal capital.
Later, the minister urged the political leaders to put aside their political difference and take steps to ensure that the living standard of special persons was improved around the country.
