Sheikh Rasheed says Nawaz given agenda to humiliate institutions

ISLAMABAD: Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rasheed on Monday alleged that former prime minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif has been given the agenda of humiliating national institutions.

Speaking to media here, the AML chief said PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has not been able to run the country and the circumstances are out of his control. He stated that members of the ruling party have lost their senses.

He noted that a Punjab prosecutor slapped a uniformed deputy superintendent of police (DSP) outside the accountability court and said, “Be thankful that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) members did not take the judge away with them.”

He said that “Nawaz Sharif has been given the agenda of humiliating national institutions,” adding that the entire nation stands with the Pakistan Army and judiciary.

Sheikh Rasheed also criticised the Sharif family and a couple of PML-N ministers, labelling Nawaz Sharif, Maryam, Ahsan Iqbal, Khawaja Asif and Captain (retd) Safdar as the “gang of five”. He further slammed Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah describing him as “greatest of all liars”.
