Govt to establish Sindh Education Foundation complex

 

 

Sindh government has decided to establish Sindh Education Foundation Complex for the citizens, especially youth of Sukkur and northern Sindh to boost education.

Sukkur Division Commissioner Dr Muhammad Usman Chachar has started his efforts to buy land for the complex and for this purpose, he inspected 33000 square acres plot near Masoom Shah Special Education Center near Sukkur Airport Road and also a vacant plot along Sukkur Physical Education College. Sukkur Deputy Commissioner Raheem Baksh Methlo briefed Dr Chachar about these plots.

In a statement, Dr Usman Chachar said that Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah had advised him to choose a plot for the complex after which the government would send grant for this purpose. He further said that the youth of Sukkur and its neighbouring areas would get the benefits from the complex which was a big educational project of the government.

He stated that they were going to establish several departments in the complex like regional office of Sindh Education Foundation, teacher/student training center, and a language center.

Later, Dr Chachar visited Masoom Shah Special Education Center and met the students. During his visit, he expressed dissatisfaction over the condition of Special Education Center and strictly instructed the authorities to make effective efforts to improve the condition of the complex.

He said that the Sindh government had been spending millions of rupees for the betterment of education but there were only six students studying in the centre. Dr Chachar warned the authorities of Special Education Center that he would soon inform the officials about the worst condition of the centre.
