Marking 50th anniversary: PPP to hold rally in Islamabad on Nov 30

Pakistan People’s Party will hold a rally in Islamabad on November 30 to mark its 50th anniversary, announced the party leaders during a press conference here on Friday.

PPP, which was formed is 1967, has been around for 50 years, shared PPP leader Nayyar Hussain Bukhari. He remarked that PPP has sacrificed the most for the sake of democracy.

“PPP has survived four martial laws and remained firm in its vision,” said PPP leader Chaudhry Manzoor. The PPP continues to serve people the same way it did before, he added.

Senator Sherry Rehman said, “We don’t want the country to fall apart.” She explained, “We are opposing the current regime as it is focusing only on saving its own face with no regard to law or Constitution.” On the other hand, PPP has always given importance to democracy, she added.

Sharing PPP’s future plans, leader Farhatullah Babar remarked that the coming year would prove to be quite significant for the party.

“PPP has decided to ensure the implementation of FATA reforms by next year,” he remarked, adding that the coming year will bring about a new dawn. “This injustice has been ongoing since last 70 years. We will finish this injustice by next year,” he added.
