I wholeheartedly appreciate the initiative taken by Sui Southern Gas company (SSGC) to build a Synthetic Natural Gas (SNG) plant in Awaran district of Balochistan. A dream became true when the former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif visited Awaran in 2013 and assured to provide gas to Awaran. According to an estimation by (SSGC) the project will benefit 800 homes in the town of Awaran. The people of Awaran has been compelled to cut down the trees and consume them in cooking for years because of unavailability of gas in the district, owing to it the forests have entirely been vanished in the district. The gas will not only benefit us in homes but also be the cause to generate small industries and decrease unemployment in a large number and help the people in various sectors. In every regime the district has been neglected and this is the first time in the history of Awaran that the government has thought and acted sincerely for the district and fulfilled a great promise.
We, the people of Awaran, feel very blissful by this recent initiative of SSGC.
