LAHORE: A special ceremony was held in connection with the 493th birthday of Guru Ram Das, the fourth guru of Sikh community, at Chuna Mandi on Monday.
Shrines Additional Secretary Tariq Khan Wazir, Pardhan Sardar Tara Singh and other Sikh community leaders attended the ceremony.
Special ‘Akhand Path Sahib’ was held and special prayers were offered for the prosperity and development of Pakistan.
Speaking on the occasion, Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) Chairman Siddiqul Farooq approved special grant of five million rupees for purchasing new blankets, sheets and cupboards for gurdwaras.
Sikh leaders appreciated the steps of the board for welfare of the Sikh community.
