CM reviews progress on ‘Khidmat Centres’

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif presided over a meeting Saturday to review the progress made in the establishment of Khidmat Centres in the province.

Addressing the meeting, the CM said that the best resources were being employed to provide the finest quality of facilities to people and the establishment of Khidmat Centres was a great step in this regard.

The CM said that 11 Khidmat Centres had already been established and that they were operational in Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Lahore, Sahiwal and Gujranwala. Such state-of-the-art facilities would soon be established in all districts, he said.

The CM said that people were getting 17 services from these Khidmat Centres while two more services were soon going to be added.

The CM added that the importance of the Khidmat Centres as a step toward providing relief to the people could not be ignored and that the Punjab Information Technology Board was working excellently in the centres. He further said that there was a need of spreading awareness about the Khidmat Centres among the public.

A detailed briefing on the Khidmat Centres was given by advisor Dr Umer Saif during the meeting, at which the chief secretary and other secretaries of the concerned departments were also present.
