ISLAMABAD: An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Friday directed the capital city police chief and chief commissioner to submit details of the assets of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Chairman Dr Tahirul Qadri in a case relating to an attack on the then-Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations Asmatullah Junejo.

Judge Shahrukh Arjumand directed for the details to be submitted at the next hearing due to be held on Oct 13.

Imran Khan, Qadri and several others were allegedly involved in an attack on Junejo during the 2014 sit-in in the capital.

Earlier, the ATC was informed by the police that the arrest warrants issued against Khan and Qadri could not be executed as they were not present at their residences.

In a report submitted by the police before the ATC, it was mentioned that a police party went to the residence of Imran Khan in Bani Gala, where a security guard informed them that the PTI chief was not at home. He failed to provide the police with any further knowledge of Khan’s whereabouts when further questioned.

The court officials had revealed that a similar report was submitted in connection with the execution of Qadri’s arrest warrants.
