SPU team returns after attending training course in China

LAHORE: A delegation of Special Protection Unit (SPU), headed by DIG/SPU Capt (R) Faisal Ali Rana, returned home after participating in a 21-day training course in China.

The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) security course was hosted by the Ministry of Public Security, China and organised by Jiangsu Public Security Department; it successfully held at Yanchang.

DIG Faisal Rana said that it was a very informative course which will help in capacity building of both Police departments.

During the course, different seminars and interactive sessions were held on important topics like law enforcement, security cooperation, investigations and latest techniques.

In the concluding ceremony, Deputy Mayor of Yanchang Municipal People’s Government Wang Qiaoquan, while expressing his views, said that friendship of Pakistan and China is decade old. That’s why, Chinese people in Pakistan always feel safe and well taken care of by the Punjab government and the SPU, he added.

He thanked Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif for sending the delegation to China. Wang also thanked head of SPU delegation Faisal Rana for his cooperation on behalf of all Chinese people and the Chinese government.
