KARACHI: The Rangers have arrested three terrorists belonging to Muttahida Qaumi Movement London (MQM-L) in a raid in Shah Faisal Colony on Wednesday.
According to the Rangers spokesperson, the arrested terrorists — Asif Raees, Shahid Aziz and Muhammad Danish — were indulged in target killings, extortion and hateful wall chalking on the orders given by the MQM-L leadership. The spokesperson said that heavy arms and ammunition were also recovered from their possession.
One of target killer admitted that the party leadership had ordered the killing of Rashid alias Mamon in June of the current year. “Two bikers had taken part in his assassination attack and after the killing the target, Kahkashan distributed reward money of Rs300,000 by sending it to them in two instalments. The accused Asif Raees received the money via hundi,” the spokesperson said.
