WASHINGTON: The top US military officer said on Tuesday that he believed that Pakistan’s main spy agency, the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) directorate, had ties to militant groups.

US officials have long been frustrated by what they term Pakistan’s unwillingness to act against Islamist militant groups, including the Afghan Taliban and the Haqqani network.

“It is clear to me that the ISI has connections with terrorist groups,” Marine Corps General Joseph Dunford, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, told the Senate Armed Services Committee.

  1. Imagine the facilitator of ISIS saying that. US is the sole sponsor of worldwide terror. With their new President the terror threat has increased manifold.

  2. Terrorism has no place with Islam and with Allah Subhanahu. We even have the terrorist outfits of LeT and JeM. Our idiotic upstart PTI Chairman doled out rs.300 crores to Maulana Samiul Haq. He wears a Taliban turban. Does this idiot know where has this money gone? Americans are ignorant of Islam and its capcity to solve and resolve all its problems from within its faith on Allah. No need to get into agitation and banging our heads against a brick wall in dealing with terrorism. Just reform ourselves with standing on the right side of God and let the Taliban, the ISIS, the scoundrel Hafiz Saeed and the JeM culprit to read in Qur’n Allah’s warning to them That will bleed them and bend their necks before God. It is as simple as that. Our Army needs a big doze of Islamic ethos. Make it first learn waging peace. Write in bold letters on the Kakul Military Academy: “The “ink” from the pen of a scholar is bettdr than the blood of a martyr.”
