LAHORE: Punjab ministers on Tuesday felicitated Nawaz Sharif on becoming the president Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and said that retaining party’s top slot was a good omen.
Expressing views over unopposed re-election of Nawaz Sharif as PML-N president, they said that it was a great victory for democracy-loving forces, adding that the PML-N leadership believed in politics of nobility and selfless service to the people.
Ministers Rana Sanaullah Khan, Tahir Khalid Sindhu, Khawaja Salman Rafiq, Zaeem Hussain Qadri, Malik, Tanvir Aslam, Sheikh Alauddin and Begum Zakia Shahnawaz said Nawaz Sharif lived in the hearts of people and could not be kept away from mainstream politics.
They said that during the last four and a half years, the country made tremendous progress through Nawaz’s policies. “Mega development projects were accomplished in record time while the economy was put on the right track”, they said, adding that due to its remarkable performance, the PML-N government will win the General Elections of 2018 with a thumping victory.
They also flayed the PTI leadership for leading the country towards anarchy, saying that the masses will no longer be deceived by Imran Khan’s negative propaganda.
