ISLAMABAD: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has decided to give Rs 500,000 as compensation to the family members of those patients who died due to dengue fever in the province.
According to a private news channel, the provincial government had sought details from the relevant quarters about patients who succumbed to the deadly virus in order to disperse the compensation money among them.
Besides, committees have also been constituted on the district level which would collect data regarding dengue victims and provide the same to the provincial government.
According to official figures, as many as 40 people have died so far in the province due to dengue fever, and a vast majority of them belonged to the provincial metropolis.
