MULTAN: Anti-Corruption Establishment Multan on Monday claimed to have arrested a general councillor for taking bribe.
Anti-Corruption Establishment Multan Headquarters Inspector Mahr Muhammad Waseem, under the supervision of Multan Civil Judge Pervez Khan raided at Union Council 46 Office and arrested General Councillor Fayyaz Ali red-handed while taking bribe.
The officer also recovered Rs 10,000 from him. A case has been registered in the anti-corruption police station.
The action has been taken on the application of Muhammad Ejaz s/o Haji Usman Bhutta in which he alleged that the accused has taken bribe of Rs 30,000 and demanded another Rs 10,000 for withdrawing an application registered with the anti-corruption Multan.
