Turkish cooperation in health sector praiseworthy: CM Punjab

LAHORE: A high-level delegation of a renowned group of Turkey associated with the health sector called on Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday with an interest to make investments in the health sector of Punjab.

Speaking on the occasion, Shehbaz Sharif said the cooperation of Turkey to improve the standards of the health sector is praiseworthy and for further improvement in the health sector we need to work jointly at a fast pace.

He said the Punjab government has introduced several reforms in the health sector to provide the best medical facilities to the people.

He said no hindrance will be allowed to block our destination of providing best medical facilities to the public and a modern healthcare system will be introduced to replace the old healthcare system.

He said people will have confidence in Punjab healthcare system and patients will get facilities and the Turkish cooperation for this purpose will be fruitful. He said Turkey has always cooperated with Pakistan and we welcome Turkish cooperation to improve the healthcare system.

Provincial ministers Khwaja Salman Rafique, Khwaja Imran Nazeer, Adviser Dr Umer Saif, the chief secretary, Pakistan Kidney and Transplant Institute Chairman Dr Saeed Akhtar, P&D Chairman, secretaries health and other concerning officials were also present.
