Five killed, two injured in separate mishaps

KHAIRPUR: Five people were killed and two others injured in separate incidents on Saturday.

A vehicle hit a boy near Suleman Aradin village in Taluka Nara. As a result, the boy suffered severe injuries and died on the spot. The victim was identified as Amanullah Aradin, aged 15. His body was shifted to Choondiko hospital for medico-legal formalities.

Separately, a youth was found tortured to death from National Highway’s Dali link road near Naushehro Feroze. The deceased was identified as Zahid Ali Shaikh, a resident of village Phull. The local police handed over the body to heirs after completion of medico-legal formalities.

In another incident, a trailer-truck collided with another trailer truck on National Highway bypass in Mirpur Mathelo. As a result, the trailer driver Allah Bux Arejo, a resident of Rohri, died on the spot, while two other people Ibrahim Magsi and Javed Magsi of Mauripur, Karachi sustained injuries. They were brought to Mirpur Mathelo hospital for treatment.

Similarly, a speeding truck hit a motorcyclist on National Highway near Mirpur Mathelo, injuring a boy. He was rushed to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The motorway police have impounded the trailer while the driver managed to flee.

Another man was killed in a traffic accident in Sher Shah on Saturday. Syed Bashir, aged 26, was riding a motorcycle in Sher Shah when he was hit by a speeding vehicle, according to rescue sources. The man succumbed to his injuries and died on the spot. His body was shifted to Karachi Civil Hospital for an autopsy.
