Chris Lynn, Mitchell Johnson ‘agree’ to join PSL

Due to increasing popularity of the Pakistan Super League, big players from all over the world are now interested in joining it. Lately Australian batsman Chris Lynn and pacer Mitchell Johnson have agreed to join the PSL in its third edition, according to a private TV channel.

“Along with Lynn and Johnson, South Africa’s JP Duminy has also consented to be part of PSL 3,” the source added. 27-year-old Lynn, who also represents Big Bash franchise Brisbane Heat, is considered as one of the most sought-after T20 batsmen, with a strike rate of around 148 in the shortest format of the game.

The source added that talks with more players are in the final stage. The list of players for the draft will be sent to franchises very soon. “Other players who are close to signing the consent include South Africa’s Imran Tahir, Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan and Sri Lanka’s Tharanga,” the source revealed.

Duminy has retired from Test cricket while Parnell is not a Test regular, which means both of them will be available for most of the PSL as their teammates play Tests against Australia in March 2018.

The stylish batsman and pacer will be available for selection by any of the six PSL franchises — the Multan Sultans being the latest addition — in the upcoming drafts. PSL3 is likely to begin at the end of February and to conclude in March, with some of its matches. including the final. expected to be played in Pakistan.
