Qureshi wants to sideline Imran: Khursheed Shah

Qureshi becoming opp leader will be conspiracy against Imran

PTI fulfilling some other agenda through this move

KARACHI: Opposition Leader Khursheed Shah on Wednesday said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi wants to sideline PTI chief Imran Khan by becoming the opposition leader of the National Assembly.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, Shah remarked, “Qureshi is not targeting my position rather he wants to sideline Imran Khan. How can anyone ask for a bigger post than this party head?” Shah questioned, adding that “I wanted to give up my seat for Bilawal Bhutto Zardari when he announced to become part of the National Assembly.”

“I have said on various occasions that a conspiracy was being hatched against Imran Khan and my word will hold true if Qureshi now becomes the opposition leader,” Khursheed said and added that “I am not worried about my post as I believe in democracy.” Imran should worry about himself, he said.

“People they [PTI] have gone to ask for votes have also questioned PTI’s decision [behind removing me], remarked Shah. While talking to a TV programme, Shah said that he did not understand the motives behind this move of the PTI, adding that the PTI leaders are trying to fulfill some other agenda through this move.
