BAHAWALNAGAR: 4 school children drowned while 8 others were rescued, after a chingqi rickshaw fell into a canal on Thursday.
Rescue sources said that a chingqi was taking 12 children home when it got out of control due to over-speeding and fell into Sadiqia Canal near Mandi Sadiq Gunj in Bahawalpur.
The rescue personnel and local people pulled out eight children from the canal while 4 drowned to death and went missing. The rescued children were shifted to a hospital while search for the missing children was underway.
