ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) member Uzma Kardar’s phone was confiscated by court officials for clicking selfies in the Islamabad High court on Tuesday, where a petition against Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif was being heard.

Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kiyani after taking notice of Kardar clicking selfies with PTI leader Naeemul Haque ordered her to hand over the phone and submit a written apology as the use of phones is not allowed inside the court.

The court officials returned her phone after admitting her one-page apology and deleting the nine selfies she had taken.

Earlier, Kardar was in the news after she disrupted State Minister for Information Marriyum Aurangzeb’s press conference by walking up to the dais and asking her to leave.

Kardar remarked that Marriyum had been speaking for the past hour. “We also have to speak,” she had said.

After the commotion, Aurangzeb criticised the PTI workers for their behaviour. “What kind of behaviour is this? They [PTI workers] are always attacking everyone.”
