KARACHI: Sindh Rangers on Tuesday said that they have arrested 11 suspected criminals, including two political party members, in different raids in the metropolis.
A statement issued by Rangers spokesman said a ranger’s team carried out a raid in Nazimabad area and arrested two criminals named Hassan Javed and Syed Iftikhar Ali Naqvi alias Noman. They were stated to be affiliated with Muttahida Qaumi Movement London (MQM-L) and involved in target killing, extortion and several criminal cases.
Separately, a rangers team raided Darakshan and Saudabad areas and apprehended four street criminals named Inam, Waqar, Muhammad Irfan and Aqib. They were allegedly involved in snatching mobile phones and several street crimes. Meanwhile, a Rangers party detained two drug peddlers, named Sohail alias Bahe Jan, and Muhammad Imran alias Gudo. The accused were involved in drug dealing in the area, the rangers said.
In yet another raid in Sohrab Goth area, the rangers arrested three illegal Afghan nationals named Syeda Gul, Ghulam Mustafa and Muhammad Younis. They also claimed to have recovered weapons, drugs and contraband from their possession.
