QWP chief says IK’s call reflects his political immaturity

Qaumi Watan Party Chairman Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao has said that QWP has rejected  the demand of PTI’s Chairman Imran Khan for early polls.

He said this in a statement issued here on Monday from the party’s office. He said that QWP was staunch supporter of democracy and it longed for the competition of the constitutional tenure of the parliament

“Strengthening of the democratic institutions would be instrumental in political stability and financial prosperity and we want that present government must complete its term. The statement of Imran Khan reflects his political immaturity and PTI doesn’t have any plan except for disturbing system”, Sherpao said.

He disagreed with the PTI chairman demand for fresh mandate by holding early general elections in the country and deplored that it was an unwise and a non-serious move which would further alienated the democratic process in the county. He said that the incumbent government must complete its five-years-term.

Sherpao  said that Imran Khan lost everything due to his hasty acts adding that the PTI chairman should learn from his past mistakes that resulted in serious difficulties for the KP and country and slowed the pace of the progress.

He said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-led government had failed to deliver during the last four years in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa despite its tall claims of change. He said that PTI had obtained votes by making false commitments of bringing change in the province, but its leaders have failed to do practical work in this regard.

He said that the ruling party in KP could not bring any change in the lives of the people and PTI chairman had admitted to incompetency and inability of his government in the province. He said that the provincial government had not paid attention to the problems of the people of KP.

He said his party wanted the national and provincial assemblies to complete term as the continuation of democratic process would ensure the provision of due share in national resources to all federating units.
