Renowned Pakistan Movement worker Fatima Sughra died at the age of 86 on Sunday night in Lahore after a protracted illness.
Her funeral prayers were offered on Monday and she was laid to rest at the Miani Sahib graveyard.
Sughra won acclaim for her rebellion against British rule during the Pakistan Movement, hen she pulled down Union Jack from the Civil Secretariat Lahore gate and hoisted her own green dupata as a flag for the Muslim League. At the time, Sughra was only 14.
She was awarded a gold medal and a Life Achievement Award by the Government of Pakistan and the Pakistan Movement Workers Trust in recognition of her services during the Independence movement.
