LAHORE: The death anniversary of Chaudhry Zahoor Elahi will be observed tomorrow (Monday). Besides meetings and Quran khawani in different cities, a usual big gathering will be held at his residence in Gujrat at 10 am in which PML President Chaudhry Shujat Hussain, senior central leader Chaudhry Parvez Elahi and family members, as well as political figures, leaders and workers of PML and people from all walks of life will participate in large numbers from all over the country.
Zahoor Elahi leader started his started his political career during the Pakistan Movement under the leadership of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, as a worker of Muslim League. After the creation of Pakistan, he played an important role in getting besieged and abducted Muslim women released from the shackles of Hindus and Sikhs and bringing them to Pakistan.
